Fron't page of Digis: Revised blocking systemThe blocking system makes compensations, basically lowering blocking chance when a unit blocks too much, or raising it if it doesn't block enough. Some players understood how to calculate this compensation, allowing them to predict hits or blocks sometimes. To be more fair, the bonus to blocking is now shown to everyone. More Details - By Seed----------------------------------------------------------------------- At the moment, its only on Digis, which means it'll probably hit FPS in the near future. Realy it isn't a big deal, just helps you know the odds of a hit, which personaly will help me out quite a bit. Heres some shots of what it actualy does, keep your eye on the top left hand corner. He got hit from behind once I believe, in this screenie; After a side block;

I don't think you guys get it exactly... The blocking system is exactly the same as its always been, its just that some people were able to guess wether or not their attacks would hit based on the previous attacks that had been made. Seed felt it was no diffrent from cheating that people could to this, so now instead of guessing, it shows you the odds of a unit hitting based on previous attacks.
So... basicaly the odds of hitting are the same, the odds of guessing wether or not your going to hit have increased. At least this is what I gathered from Seed's blog, and the portion on the front page of digis.
Keep in mind the first part of this, is relateing to the current FPS blocking system, and te second part is the update

It's ok Nero we old guys always have some thing to bitch about... Ah, thankgod for that lol *grumble* Apparently these new blocking averages have been known by some mods and a few random players for a while now, before it was made public.

Not a fan of the blocking system....but it was well know that if you had a player block too much you would most like get crazy crap like frontal knights. To me though this really made the blocking percentage bogus for quite a while.
EXAMPLE... If I flip a coin I have a 50 percent chance of getting heads. If I flip it again I also have a 50 percent chance of getting heads. but if flipping a coin were like TAO the previous flip would influence the next flip.
I liked the unpredictability of the game....there is none now.

The odds of getting 5 heads out of 5 throws, in a row, are far less than 1 head on just 1 toss. I would say these changes are significant as it allows you to see what chances a unit has of blocking, where as before it was pure guess work (or luck whatever way you look at it).

Now if a knight gets a side block you can hit, you can have a 100% chance of hitting the next turn from any side. Matt the blocking system is not the same, it is changed to rule our bugs. For example in the past i have made an enemy knight do a 360 with blocking. Now due to the updates it is impossible.

No, it’s not impossible as my game with T demonstrated lol.
It lessens/increases the odds and gives you a better idea of what the outcome will be.
The odds of hitting a unit with -180 from the side is still not 100% definite.

Use the n00b tool when a knight has -120% blocking aim a scout and look at thge blocking chances "100%" "-14"
