This simply becaue I think that TDP needs a sports thread. Because I have the day off today I thought i'd start some threads. Anyway, discuss anything about sports youi find interesting. Golf is not a sport I'll start us off with this. In recent basketball events, a small town team went really far before being taken down by Florida. I think this is really cool, thoughts feelings opinions welcome. Enjoy my sports thread  |

ooo this one is going to be great.......... ok lets see whos going to win the nba finals?  ? or more so whos going to win out of the spurs against the mavericks there are like 2.5 games between the spurs over the mavs lol and a 15 game gap between the next team soooo whos going to get it. And what about T.O. going to dallas and drew brees going to the Saints? |

Darn i was rooting for them, anyway there is always next year.
My hometown team is beating everyone here by at least twenty points, its pretty cool.

For those of us who live in the middle of no where and rareley get to watch Tv because they are taking care of a three week old its hard to keep up with the currant happenings.
I sort of made this thread so yall could help me keep in touch with the sports world without my wife yelling at me for watching sports center every chance i get.

Umm, let's see. I think Spurs are going to win the championship. Phil Mickelson won the Masters with -7. Maryland's women won the NCAAW Championship and Florida weon the NCAAB Championship. That's all this week I think.

Alright this really chaps my ass...
The NCAA Basketball is going to be in Atlanta next year, so I thought this would be a great way to check off one of those things that I have always wanted to do.
So I decide to go buy some tickets....but they are not for sale. No there will be a drawing for them sometime in August....now get this...there will only be 10,000 tickets sold then. So you ask..Why not just sign up for the tickets and shut the hell up right? Well if you register for tickets you have to go ahead and pay for them...Yep that is right you have to pay for the tickets and you may or may not get any.....and in two months they will refund you the money if you don't win minus the drawing fee which is $4 per ticket.
Despite all of this Polyunsaturated Load of Crap I still registered for 4 tickets which set me back around $700 that I may win tickets and if I don't I get refunded.
OK this is off my chest now....
