Its where a full member might like your attitude and will say "im sponsering them" This will make your application process alot quicker. Lets say, 2 weeks shorter.

you also have to had known them a month or longer and you can only sponsor one person a month.

I don't think he is on about that type of sponsoring, i think he is wanting someone to sponsor a gold account for him.
Basically cotten, someone who trusts you and has known you for a long time can say that he/she will sponsor you. This means that they will pay for your gold account for a certain amount of time. However, the chances of actually gaining a sponsor is unlikely...
