Matt, how much school do you have left? 6 months? And you want to quit now? Okay for arguments sake let's say you take a break and go back at the start of the next school year. You'll have 9 months off before you go back and somehow you're thinking in 9 months you're going to have this newfound uncontrollable desire to succeed in school? I've been done for over 2 years and I still hate high school. On top of that, you're going to have to repeat what you've done so far this year so technically you're going to be in there even longer and if you're planning on finishing out this semester then taking a break and going back, why not just finish the 4.5 months you have ahead of you? Then you can take as long as a break as you want before college!
You're not going to want to be there in 9 months any more than you do now.

We were still discussing the original argument but if you want to disregard that...
The only reason you would get kicked out is if you fail all your classes or cuss out all your teachers. As long as you can show up and breathe you can pass. Anyone who attends class will pass high school. And as far as the teachers are concerned, most of my high school teachers were assholes but I love my college professors so I can't blame ya if you hate most of them. But save up your anger until after you get your diploma then you can crap on their front porch and pee in the sunroof of their car like my fiance did.

Here's some tricks I've learned to use to get through school easy:
1.) High school grades you based on improvement because they want to make sure everyone succeeds. On your first drawing/writing assignment/whatever do a pretty bad job. Write an average paper then make it a little worse. You'll probably get a B or C depending on the teacher, but trust me. Then on your next paper, make sure you address everything they told you to change. But still write a so-so paper that is a bit better than your last one. They'll be so amazed by your quick improvement and think they've done such a great job teaching you that you'll get at least a B. Keep doing this and if you do it right the only one you need to try on is your last paper of the year. It will get you a solid A. 2.) If you don't care about your GPA much, that A will let you bullshit at least 2 other classes and it will still keep your GPA around a 2.0 or so. I used this tactic in almost all my classes and graduated with a 3.8 GPA. 3.) I don't know anyone who doesn't do this but it's still cool. If you get an assignment like draw a chick in a dress, just do a really crappy 5 minute job then bring something to do. I used to bring magazines. In college we bring our laptops and we have wireless internet so we just talk on AIM/MSN and some people watch movies with the sound off or play games. A lot of people text message but it costs a lot so I don't. You can bring an ipod and run one of the earpieces through your sleeve and listen to music the entire class though. 4.) Bathroom breaks are also a saviour. I know in high school you can't talk on your cell phones because your friends are probably in class too but sometimes I'll leave and hang out in my car for 10-15 minutes or go to the dorms on campus. 5.) If you want to get a better grade for doing basically nothing, go in and see your teacher and ask them about something you already know how to do. Let them re-teach it to you and at first act like you don't get it. By the end of it, all of a sudden just "catch on" and do a good job. This is another trick to make teachers think they're doing a great job teaching. When the grading time comes they always remember who came in for help. Like I said, grades are based on improvement so even if you go in just once for 5 minutes it shows you are trying to do well.

I could argue one or 2 of those things but I won't bother... as for your #3 though. I can't afford anything, I have a CD player... its crappy but at least I got one I just put it in my pocket, and run the earpiece up my shirt, and listen to it.

My teachers let me walk the halls, im not forced into my seat in class, I can wonder around and talk to people, most students in my class even wonder into other classes to see their freinds, the teachers dont mind if your only gone for about 5 mins or so.
And I've never been graded on improvment...
